Teachers play a vital role in imparting the knowledge and skills just to make sure the students are successful. A parent?s contribution is also required just to analyze what a child is learning in school. Nobody can deny the fact that educational progress depends on the quality of teachers. Unfortunately there are many people who enter into the teaching profession unwillingly. They are here because they couldn?t get into any other profession. They never wanted to become a teacher and take no interest in teaching and simply pass their time.
They don?t bother about what their students say about them and the teachers do not care to put goals before the students. The present education is concerned with the all round development of an individual. The morale is equally important to education.? It distinguishes between viewing teaching as a job and viewing it as a profession.
Morale has two educational implications where it either improves school services or makes them worthy of public respect. Secondly, enthusiastic teachers express their satisfaction and approval not only to students but also to parents and the public.Competent teachers are really valuable asset to school system. Poor teachers are expensive because they require excessive amounts of supervision, administration and frequently undo the work of good teachers. The capability of an educational system depends largely on the efficiency of its teachers. The quality of education imparted to children depends highly on the quality of teachers in the schools and colleges. Apart from that building, equipment, curriculum, books and teaching methods are also important.
The premises and equipment are equally essential in the education venture but teachers play a main role in it. It is true that a spacious building, with costly equipment and a sound syllabus serve? a useful purpose but at the same time? teachers who are fully devoted to the profession and its accompanying responsibilities, attitudes, habits, manners character and personality of the students. Many educators focus on testing and accountability just to improve their academic performance. They concentrate on methods to strengthen the curriculum, promote sound instructional practices, and tutor students who need help. Schools that really want to improve the academic performance of their students should also give emphasis on the health, school safety, caring relationships in the school, low rates of alcohol and drug use and nutrition.
The academic achievement depends on many issues like money spent on schooling, the number of children in a class, time spent on a subject and teaching methods. But the question arises which of these issue plays a prime role? The money spent on education has a huge impact on the academic achievement of students. Sans proper funding it's unfeasible to provide schools with the necessary equipment needed for complete studying such as new textbooks, different devises of new technology like computers.
