Continuing with the spirit of yesterday?s post about saving money ($500) before the Holidays, I figured I?d tell you about one of my favorite (and cheap) places for Happy Hour in the DC area-Whole Foods.
Tray For Wine & Food
Every Wednesday from 5-7, the Whole Foods in Old Town Alexandria has Winesdays. ?For only $5 you get to enjoy 5 wine AND food pairings. ?The food is usually very good and drinking wine is always fun. ?You get to take home a lovely wine glass and the wine tasting is only $4 if you bring back your wine glass.

I think this is a really awesome deal for the amount of food and wine that you get to consume. ?If you friend them on Facebook (Click here to do so), you will sometimes get a sneak peek at the menu too! ?The first station is usually some kind of salad or soup. ?The second station is normally some type of?appetizer. ?The third and fourth stations are usually the main meat and grain dishes. ?And last but not least is dessert!? And did I mention that you also get a copy of all of the recipes for the food that you enjoyed during Winesdays. ?I finally have the recipe for their Beef Short Ribs! ?And the best part about that recipe is that it only requires around 4 or 5 ingredients!
